Terms of Use
Last updated 22 October 2026
The short version: DachsFin helps you keep track of your own money. It isn’t a bank and doesn’t give financial advice. Your data stays yours, you can leave whenever you like, and we do our best to keep the app running well.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [YOUR FULL NAME], an individual developer based in Malaysia (“we”, “us”), who runs DachsFin. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
2. What DachsFin is
DachsFin is a personal money tracker. You enter your own income, spending and savings goals; DachsFin stores them and shows them back to you. DachsFin:
- is not a bank, does not hold or move money, and never connects to your bank accounts;
- does not convert currencies for you; amounts are what you enter;
- does not give financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Figures and suggestions in the app are for your information only. Check anything important before you act on it.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please use DachsFin with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
4. Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep your phone and that account secure; you are responsible for what happens in your DachsFin account. Tell us straight away at hello@dachsfin.com if you think someone else has used it.
5. Your data
Everything you enter belongs to you. You let us store, copy and display it only so we can run DachsFin for you, including keeping it in step across your phones. You can delete your account and data at any time in More › Accounts › Delete account.
6. Using DachsFin fairly
Please don’t misuse the app: don’t try to break, overload or get around its security, access other people’s data, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
7. Paid features
DachsFin is free to use today. If we offer paid features in future, their price and what you get will be shown in the app before you pay. Purchases are made through the App Store and follow Apple’s terms, including Apple’s refund process.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep DachsFin running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut DachsFin down, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice in the app and a way to get a copy of your data.
9. Our responsibility to you
DachsFin is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including under Malaysia’s Consumer Protection Act 1999.
10. Ending things
You can stop using DachsFin and delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms; where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using DachsFin afterwards, the new terms apply.
12. Apple App Store
If you downloaded DachsFin from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies where these terms don’t cover something.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection you have under the laws of the country you live in.
14. Contact
Email hello@dachsfin.com. If these terms are translated, the English version applies.
